Casemiro uncovers 'big problem' Man Utd have right now as Brazilian quits club
Casemiro is leaving Manchester United at the end of the season, but the Brazilian has publicly backed Michael Carrick.

Casemiro says Manchester United chiefs have a "big problem" with Michael Carrick but should hand him the manager's role on a permanent basis. Carrick has proven to be a remarkable appointment since replacing the sacked Ruben Amorim as interim boss. He has guided United to 12 victories from 17 matches, suffering just two defeats, to secure Champions League qualification.
United chiefs are anticipated to reach a decision once the season draws to a close. Co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe is acutely aware he needs someone in position as swiftly as possible, allowing the incoming manager to begin preparations for next season and oversee the club's summer transfer plans. United are still weighing up all available candidates, with Luis Enrique, Julian Nagelsmann and Andoni Iraola all under consideration.
However, Casemiro, speaking on the Rio Ferdinand Presents YouTube channel, insisted Carrick has presented club bosses with a genuine headache - having done more than enough to warrant the position himself ahead of other more prominent contenders.
The Brazilian stalwart is set to depart Old Trafford come the summer, yet has called on United to appoint Carrick. He said: "It's a big problem. Because he deserves to stay. He deserves to stay."
"The team plays very good (under Carrick). He will win any games. The team improves day by day. Game by game the team improves.
"So for me it's a big problem, because in my opinion, he deserved this opportunity. "He deserves the opportunity, because the team is very comfortable. The team plays very good.

"We have big wins - big ones. So for me he deserved this opportunity."
Casemiro has compared Carrick's man management to Italian serial winner Carlo Ancelotti. He added: "For me he plays at this level. He knows what the players' feelings are.
"Ancelotti, he is a big manager because he understands. He played. He knows what the players need to listen to, and he pushes, but he knows the time to push.
"For me, the best thing is he knows about the club. He understands the club. So for me he deserves it. Absolutely, in my opinion, he should stay."
