Chelsea face Southampton in the Premier League on Tuesday evening with both sides in need of a win for very different reasons.
Chelsea and Southampton will both be eager to get back to winning ways when they clash at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday. Enzo Maresca's team hasn't tasted victory in the Premier League since their win over West Ham United earlier this month.
Following that triumph, they've suffered consecutive losses to Brighton and Aston Villa, with Fabian Hürzeler's team also knocking them out of the FA Cup. The Seagulls handed the Blues a 3-0 defeat, while Villa staged a comeback to overcome Maresca's side 2-1.
Despite a significant dip in their early season form, Chelsea remain in contention for a top four finish, currently sitting seventh, just one point behind fourth-placed Manchester City, in what is shaping up to be a tight race for the Champions League spots.

On the other hand, the Saints find themselves languishing at the bottom of the table, requiring nothing short of a miracle to avoid relegation this year. They have now lost eight of their nine matches since Ivan Juric took over from Russell Martin in December. In their previous encounter, Chelsea thrashed Southampton 5-1 at St Mary's.
