Man United have been busy this summer but there are still deals that could go right down to the wire to give them the perfect end to the window.

Manchester United have been busy in the transfer market this summer, but there are still five potential deals that could provide a dream conclusion to their transfer window.

PSG's Manuel Ugarte is the latest addition to Erik ten Hag's squad, with the Uruguayan star joining United for a fee of around £50million, including add-ons. Ugarte will join Leny Yoro, Joshua Zirkzee, Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui as United's fifth summer signing.

However, it hasn't all been one-way traffic at Old Trafford this summer. Mason Greenwood has departed for Marseille, Aaron Wan-Bissaka has moved to West Ham, Donny van de Beek has switched to Girona, and Hannibal Mejbri has signed for Burnley. Further departures include Scott McTominay, who has made the journey to Napoli, while Raphael Varane, Anthony Martial and Brandon Williams have all been released by the club.

Despite their active approach to the transfer window this year, United's business isn't over yet. With the transfer window closing at 11pm on Friday, we examine five major deals that could still materialise to give United the perfect end to a busy summer...

Miguel Gutierrez: IN

United are reportedly set to make a last-minute swoop for Girona's star player, Miguel Gutierrez. The former Real Madrid defender, who had an impressive season with Girona last year, is also on the radar of Liverpool, Borussia Dortmund, Arsenal and Chelsea.

The Red Devils have been keeping tabs on the 22-year-old since as far back as 2017, but Gutierrez turned down Jose Mourinho's advances at the time, choosing to stay close to his family in Spain. United boss Erik ten Hag is said to be impressed by the defender's 'football IQ and attacking profile', but his salary demands and a potential sell-on clause to his former club, Madrid, could pose a problem.

Despite Dortmund's failed £10.5million bid for Gutierrez in the summer, rumours suggest that United might be able to secure the Girona star for around the £30million mark.

Jadon Sancho: OUT

Jadon Sancho's troubled stint at Old Trafford appears to be nearing its end. According to RMC Sport, United have 'finally agreed' to offload Sancho this summer.

The report suggests that Sancho will initially join Juventus on loan, before making the move permanent next summer. There has been speculation about a swap deal involving Sancho and Chelsea's Raheem Sterling, however, the complexity of such a swap deal, with numerous elements needing to be ironed out in a tight time frame, may prove too challenging to execute.

Jarrad Branthwaite: IN

United's interest in Everton centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite was no secret earlier this summer. Despite strengthening their defence with Matthijs de Ligt and Leny Yoro, the Red Devils were prepared to table as much as £50m for their 22-year-old top target, an offer Everton were keen to resist.

The young player has attracted attention from Manchester City and Liverpool, and while United seem content with their current centre-half options, a significant injury to Yoro and the pressure to secure Branthwaite ahead of their rivals could prompt United to make one last attempt to sign the former Carlisle player.

The Everton star still has three years left on his contract. However, given Everton's precarious financial situation, they may have to entertain substantial offers for their key players, with manager Sean Dyche even conceding that their financial concerns will influence their transfer activity before the window closes.

Raheem Sterling: IN

Similar to Sancho, Raheem Sterling is another player eager to exit his current club. Having been sidelined by new Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca, Sterling is now seeking a new team before Friday, with United being one of his preferred destinations.

It's understood that United have begun preliminary talks about a potential move for the winger, with United's sporting director Dan Ashworth in conversation with Chelsea representatives over a complex swap deal involving Sancho. United already boast two wingers who can operate on both flanks in Bruno Fernandes and Mason Mount, but the club may view the addition of someone with Sterling's experience to the dressing room as a positive ahead of the new season.

The 29-year-old's ability to play as a false nine could be appealing for Ten Hag but with the Chelsea man's £300,000-per-week wages potentially hindering any deal, this is also one that could go down to the wire.

Ivan Toney: IN

A very recent development has seen United suddenly initiate talks with Brentford in an attempt to sign wantaway striker Ivan Toney. According to The Standard, the Red Devils are in exploratory talks with the Bees regarding a deal to bring the formidable forward to Old Trafford.

It's understood that negotiations aren't advanced, and no formal offer has been made to Brentford at this point. Thomas Frank's side are reportedly hoping that United's interest could spark a significant bidding war for the England star, with Chelsea also said to be interested, as Maresca is eager to add a striker to his squad before the deadline.

Following the unexpected loss to Brighton, Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has called on supporters to remain calm, promising potential new arrivals as the transfer window draws to a close. The Dutch manager signalled fans should "be patient, sit, wait" and hinted at dramatic final-day dealings by saying: "We have a couple of days and we will always improve. As long as we have the opportunity we will look for it."
