Enzo Maresca will be keen for his Chelsea side to return to winning ways when they face Bournemouth on Saturday evening.

The Blues were held to a 1-1 draw by Crystal Palace before the international break, and they will need to improve significantly if they are to secure all three points against the Cherries.

Chelsea have several injury problems to contend with when they head to the Vitality Stadium, but Maresca will certainly feel that he has the depth to cope with those concerns. Express Sport takes a look at who the Italian is likely to select to land the spoils this weekend…

Chelsea’s Predicted XI vs Bournemouth (4-3-3)

Goalkeeper: Sanchez

Maresca insisted that Robert Sanchez will be his first-choice goalkeeper in the Premier League, and the Spaniard is therefore expected to remain between the sticks against Bournemouth. Filip Jorgensen will be keen to prove his worth in cup competitions to prove why he should be Chelsea’s No. 1 in all competitions.

Defence: Disasi, Fofana, Colwill, Cucurella

Maresca revealed on Friday that Malo Gusto is still sidelined through injury. With Reece James also still working his way back to full fitness, Axel Disasi appears to be the likeliest candidate to play right-back against Bournemouth. Levi Colwill and Wesley Fofana look set to have been selected as the Blues’ first-choice centre-back pairing, whilst Marc Cucurella lacks competition for his spot in left-back.

Cole Palmer

Midfield: Fernandez, Caicedo, Palmer

Romeo Lavia is expected to be out for ‘one more match’ with injury, meaning that Chelsea’s midfield somewhat picks itself. Cole Palmer is expected to be fit to face the Cherries despite withdrawing from England’s squad for the international break. The playmaker has since returned to full fitness and will be keen to build on his recent good form.

Jadon Sancho

Forwards: Madueke, Jackson, Neto

Jadon Sancho was unavailable to face Crystal Palace as his loan move from Manchester United was registered after the deadline, and he could be forced to wait to make his debut for the Blues. Noni Madueke has been in sensational form so far this season and it would be tricky to drop the winger at present, especially as his morale would have been boosted further by making his England debut over the weekend.

Mykhaylo Mudryk has failed to justify the faith of his manager in recent weeks, which could leave the door open for Pedro Neto to make his second league start of the season.
