Arne Slot is expected to orchestrate a major rebuild of Liverpool’s attacking ranks this summer to mark his arrival in the Anfield dugout. Numerous stars have been linked with joining the Reds over the coming months, including Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins and Leeds winger Crysencio Summerville. However, Express Sport understands that Liverpool are not looking to sign either player. Here’s who they could look to target instead…

Johan Bakayoko

The Reds are long-term admirers of PSV star Bakayoko, and their interest could become concrete this summer as they look to sign an alternative option to Mohamed Salah on the wing.

The 21-year-old scored 12 and assisted nine in 33 Eredivisie appearances last season, and Slot will be very familiar with the qualities of the Belgium international.

Michael Olise

Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal are among a plethora of sides to have been linked with Crystal Palace playmaker Olise previously. However, Liverpool are also among his admirers and they could steal a march on their rivals by attempting to strike a quick-fire deal for the Frenchman.

Olise penned a new deal with the Eagles last summer which saw a release clause inserted into his deal, though the details of the clause have yet to be revealed.

Takefusa Kubo

Real Sociedad forward Kubo has been linked with a move to the Premier League previously, with the Reds the latest star to be tipped to make an offer for the Japan international. The 22-year-old is claimed to be valued in the region of £50million, which will not deter interest from Liverpool if they do opt to pursue the versatile playmaker.

Viktor Gyokeres

Another star who has been linked with countless English sides is Gyokeres and the Sporting star reportedly remains a consideration on Merseyside. The Sweden international enjoyed a sensational campaign under Ruben Amorim this season, scoring 43 and assisting 14 in 50 appearances in all competitions, and the ex-Coventry City striker could be targeted if Slot believes that his squad requires a marquee No. 9.

Mohamed Amoura

Reports in France have claimed that Liverpool are among Amoura’s admirers, and the Union Saint-Gilloise could be a low-cost option for Slot to bolster his attacking ranks. The Algerian international is capable of playing on either flank and through the middle, and his versatility could prove attractive to Slot.
