Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has been warned that he should expect to lose his job if the Red Devils lose their FA Cup semi-final to Coventry on Sunday. Victory over Liverpool in the previous round set up a Wembley clash with the Championship outfit, with United instilled as heavy favourites.
And former United goalkeeper Mark Bosnich believes that the team are not only playing for their sole chance of silverware in a disappointing campaign, but also to keep Ten Hag’s job in place.
The Dutch head coach has seen increased pressure on his position after the arrival of minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS’ sweeping changes at Old Trafford. Bosnich believes that winning the FA Cup would keep Ten Hag in place for next season, but defeat on Saturday would spell the end of his tenure at United.
“Winning the FA Cup could save Erik ten Hag’s job, and they should take care of Coventry City quite easily which could see them play Manchester City in the final,” Bosnich told FastestPayoutOnlineCasino.com.

“If they lose to Coventry then I can see Ten Hag being sacked, if they get to the final and have a heavy defeat then I can also see him being sacked. If United lose to Coventry then I think that will be it for Ten Hag in the job. It’s quite ironic that it could come against Mark Robbins' team who might well have saved Fergie’s job all those years ago in the FA Cup run on the way to beating Palace.”

Bosnich feels that both Ange Postecoglou and Unai Emery would be stellar replacements after their impressive campaigns with Tottenham and Aston Villa, but the Aussie feels that the current state of United would be far from tempting for the pair.
“I would like to see Manchester United linked to Ange Postecoglou and Unai Emery if Erik ten Hag loses his job,” Bosnich added. “But I think both of them know they've got massive projects at the clubs they're at with both doing fantastic jobs at Tottenham and Aston Villa.
“I think both of them would say, listen, we've still got jobs to do at the places that we're at so thanks but no thanks. The job at Manchester United is still a bigger job in terms of potential and it being a massive project, but right now they are both slightly closer to winning the league than United are, although they are all a long way off.”
