Fantasy Premier League managers have until 6pm (BST) for the GW31 transfer deadline, and there are several important players who are doubts ahead of the midweek round of fixtures. Express Sport takes a look at the latest on selection headaches from the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Newcastle…
The Arsenal starboy missed England’s friendlies against Brazil and Belgium in the international break, and his injury fears were reignited against Manchester City when he was substituted off in the second half. However, Mikel Arteta has insisted that he is not concerned about the winger, claiming that 90 minutes simply would have been ‘too much for him’ and that he was feeling ‘fatigued’, in a boost ahead of his side’s clash with Luton.
Rodrigo Muniz
Marco Silva has admitted that Muniz is ‘not 100 per cent’ fit after sustaining an ankle injury during the international break. The Brazilian could line up against Nottingham Forest on Tuesday though, with his manager revealing that ‘he is probably going to be okay’ as the injury was sustained over 10 days ago.

Ollie Watkins
Aston Villa star Watkins is a major doubt for his side’s tricky trip to Manchester City after sustaining a hamstring injury over the weekend. The extent of the issue remains unclear, with Unai Emery explaining in his post-match press conference that he had been advised by medical staff to withdraw the England international at half-time against Wolves.
Malo Gusto
Another star suffering with a hamstring problem is Chelsea’s Gusto, who may not be fit to face Manchester United. The right-back limped off the pitch against Burnley, with Mauricio Pochettino unable to shed light on the problem following the draw.

Similarly, Luton manager Rob Edwards was in the dark over the extent of Doughty’s injury which he sustained against Tottenham. The attacking-minded fullback has become very popular among FPL players but it remains to be seen whether he is capable of recovering from his unnamed problem in time to face Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
Kieran Trippier
Injuries have been a recurring theme throughout Newcastle’s season, with Trippier the latest star to add his name to their list of absentees. The England international has been ruled out for the past few weeks with a calf injury, and Eddie Howe has confirmed that the Magpies will ‘see how he goes’ before his side’s match against Everton. The ex-Bournemouth boss did hint that he must be ‘very careful’ with Trippier and therefore it appears unlikely that the defender will last 90 minutes if he is named in the Newcastle starting XI.
