Chelsea have agreed a £25million deal with Brighton for Spanish goalkeeper Robert Sanchez. The 25-year-old shot-stopper is due to undergo a medical at Stamford Bridge in the coming days and he will become the club's seventh summer signing for Mauricio Pochettino.
Sanchez has wanted out of Brighton since he lost his place in the side to Jason Steele at the back end of last season.
The goalkeeper was unhappy with Roberto De Zerbi's decision and was frozen out of the squad after refusing to travel to matches against Arsenal and Newcastle during the Premier League run-in.
Now Chelsea have pounced following the sale of Edouard Mendy to Al Ahli in Saudi Arabia.
Sanchez will join for an initial £20m plus £5m in potential bonuses.

The move comes after Sanchez was left behind for the Seagulls' pre-season tour of the United States.
Earlier in the window, Chelsea had been looking at other goalkeeper targets including Andre Onana.
But the Blues were effectively priced out of the move as they continue to pursue other targets such as Moises Caicedo.
Their hesitation allowed Manchester United to pounce as they sealed the £47m capture of the former Ajax goalkeeper.
