Tottenham are working with police following an incident of alleged racial abuse of forward Son Heung-min during their game against Crystal Palace.
I am ready – new boss Ryan Mason demands reaction from sorry Spurs
Tottenham are working with police to identify the person responsible for allegedly racially abusing forward Son Heung-min during their Premier League clash against Crystal Palace. The north London club confirmed that an investigation is underway to discover the identity of the perpetrator after the South Korean forward was allegedly targeted in an 'abhorrent' incident during Saturday's match at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Spurs have launched an investigation with the assistance of the Met Police after footage circulated on social media appearing to show a spectator in the Crystal Palace away section allegedly making a racist gesture towards Son.
The Premier League club have vowed to take the "strongest possible action" against the person involved and condemned the 'abhorrent' act of discrimination against the 29-year-old, who has been targeted in several similar incidents throughout his career.
A club statement read: "We are aware of an allegation of racial abuse towards Heung-Min Son during yesterday’s match. Discrimination of any kind is abhorrent and has no place in society, our game and at our Club.

"We are working with Met Police and Crystal Palace to investigate and identify the individual involved.
"We will do everything in our powers to ensure that if found guilty, the individual will receive the strongest possible action - as was the case earlier this season when Son suffered similar racial abuse at Chelsea."
Crystal Palace issued a statement confirming they had received reports of racist abuse and co-operated with police by sharing evidence, as well as promising to issue a "club ban" when the person is identified. The Eagles did not elaborate on the length of the ban, but added they "would not tolerate such behaviour".

Their statement read: "We are aware of a video circulating online (as well as reports made directly to us) regarding an individual in the away end at Spurs yesterday, appearing to make racist gestures towards Heung-Min Son.
"Evidence has been shared with the police, and when he is identified, he will face a club ban. We will not tolerate such behaviour in our club."
Son played the full 90 minutes as Spurs ran out 1-0 winners over Palace, with Harry Kane's effort in first-half stoppage time proving to be enough to earn all three points, as Ryan Mason claimed his first win in his second stint as interim boss.
But the alleged incident involving Son somewhat overshadowed the occasion on Saturday afternoon as Spurs now seek to find the person responsible.
