Good morning and welcome to Transfer News Live, Express Sport's live blog that keeps you up to date with all the latest transfer news, gossip and done deals - even when the window remains closed. As we approach the end of the season, several Premier League clubs are already looking to make a lightning start to their summer business, when every team will seek to improve their ranks ahead of the 2023/24 campaign.
Harry Kane's future is now up for debate following Tottenham's shocking 6-1 defeat against Newcastle on Tyneside over the weekend.
Manchester United now look ready to seriously test Spurs' resolve this summer when Kane enters the final 12 months of his current contract.
Elsewhere, Chelsea are poised to continue their excessive spending with Mauricio Pochettino reportedly close to landing the job this summer
It could also be a busy window for the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal who will be desperate to maximise their chances of success as Manchester City continue to go from strength to strength under Pep Guardiola.
Here is the latest transfer gossip on Tuesday morning.
Brighton CEO Paul Barber has spoken out on the future of Alexis Mac Allister as Liverpool and Manchester United continue to keep close tabs on the Argentine World Cup winner.
Liverpool are said to be frontrunners to land the midfielder but Mac Allister signed a new long-term contract with the Seagulls in 2022.
Barber told talkSPORT: “With Alexis, we sat down before the World Cup with his father, Carlos, and his agent.
“That was about making sure Alexis was as settled as possible before the World Cup goal.
“And afterwards, we ensured he got back focussed on the Premier League – to his credit he absolutely has done. Has performed very, very well.
“What the summer brings? We don’t know. What we do know is our players will come under a lot of scrutiny and interest.
“And we will manage that, as we always do, when and if it happens.”
According to Foot Mercato, Ryan Gravenberch would like to reunite with Erik ten Hag at Manchester United this summer.
The Dutchman has endured a tough season in Germany with Bayern Munich after joining from Ajax last summer and now he is the subject of interest from Liverpool.
But the reports from France indicate the player would be keen on teaming up with ex-Ajax boss Ten Hag again if an offer arrived from Old Trafford.
Bayern have already made it clear they do not wish to sell the player and they hope to keep him moving forward.
Liverpool have already met with his representatives to discuss a potential transfer.
Manchester United are reportedly ready to pay Harry Kane around £300,000 a week in order to entice him into a move to Old Trafford.
The England captain has a massive decision to make this summer and with Spurs currently on a road to nowhere, this could be his best possible chance to leave the club behind.
United need a striker and The Sun say they are prepared to pay big numbers to bring Kane north to Manchester at the end of the season.
They are prepared to make Kane one of their highest earners as they look to entice him into the move.
It's understood Kane is still open to contract talks with Spurs but on the basis of their season, there is every reason why the striker may want to go elsewhere.
Chelsea are in the hunt for 16-year-old Hadjuk Split centre-back Luka Vuskovic according to The Daily Mail.
The highly-rated Croatian prospect is attracting attention from a number of big names with Manchester City also in contention for his signature.
Vuskovic has already broken into the Hadjuk Split first-team and is the youngest player to ever feature in the Croatian top-flight after making his debut against rivals Dinamo Zagreb.
It's understood the centre-back will cost around £12m this summer but with a number of big clubs interested, a bidding war could be set to materialise.
The Daily Mail are also reporting that Mikel Arteta remains interested in signing Raphinha from Barcelona.
The Gunners made two bids for the player last summer but Leeds rejected their advances before Raphinha eventually joined Barcelona.
Sport in Spain go even further than that and say Arsenal made a £62m proposal in January but the deal was blocked by Xavi.
Now it looks like the Premier League leaders could rival Newcastle for his signature at the end of the season.
Barca need to raise cash and Raphinha could reportedly make way despite being valued highly by Xavi.
