Arsenal careful over Jesus
All eyes will be on Arsenal on Friday night when the Premier League leaders have the chance to go seven points clear, while Manchester City and Manchester United are in FA Cup action this weekend. Mikel Arteta's side host Southampton and could give Gabriel Jesus his first full 90 minutes since returning from a three-month lay-off.
Jesus scored two goals in Arsenal's last home game against Leeds, but only played the first half at West Ham last weekend. Arteta was non-committal about the striker looking ahead of Friday's match against Southampton.
The Arsenal boss said: “We will see. We’ve been really careful. There have been some issues within that period when he was doing the final stages of the rehab and we have to be really attentive. We have players that can change the game, that are fully fit, that probably deserve to play as well and we have to be mindful of that.”

Diaz back in contention for Liverpool
Luis Diaz will be knocking on the door of Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp after making his return from injury in their emphatic 6-1 win at Leeds United on Monday night. Liverpool have missed regular goals this season and the 26-year-old winger has been absent since picking up a knee injury in their 3-2 defeat at Arsenal in early October.
However, the Reds could be without centre-back Ibrahima Konate for their match against Nottingham Forest on Saturday. The Liverpool Echo reported that the Frenchman was missing from training on Wednesday and was instead at their AXA Training Centre working on his individual fitness programmes.

Davies could provide Spurs with boost
Totteham Hotspur have a crucial match in their bid for a Champions League spot when they head to Newcastle United on Sunday, sitting three points behind the fourth placed side. They could be boosted by the return of defender Ben Davies who has been missing for over a month due to a hamstring problem.
Elsewhere, Leeds are unsure whether Patrick Bamford will recovery from a calf injury in time for their trip to Fulham on Saturday. The 29-year-old has three goals from 22 appearances this season and Leeds will be desperate for the striker to find the net in the forthcoming matches.
