Man Utd backed to win Premier League title next season with two new signings
Manchester United have been backed to make two huge signings this summer in a quest to end their wait for a title.
Manchester United legend Gary Pallister believes his old club can win the Premier League title next season with two major summer signings. The former defender reckons the addition of Jude Bellingham and a top striker would propel Erik ten Hag's side to serious contenders.
United are in a strong position to finish in the Premier League top three this season. They also could still win a cup treble, having already ended their trophy drought with the Carabao Cup final win in February.
Ten Hag will be keen to build on what he has started at Old Trafford by recruiting wisely in the summer. United are one of the clubs set to be in the race for Bellingham.
Pallister believes he would be a top signing and says he could contribute to the club winning the title for the first time in over a decade. He told AceOdds.com: "Yeah, with a successful transfer window, then who knows?

England's Jude Bellingham chats to fan
"The one that everybody's looking at, obviously, is Jude Bellingham. I think wherever he goes, it will give the club that he arrives at a huge shot in the arm because everybody wants him.
"He's English. Technically, he's excellent. He's got a great drive to him by the looks of it. And I think every club's sort of letting it be known that they'd love to him to have him at their club."
Pallister reckons a lot may depend on when or if United owners the Glazers sell the club. The former defender says the signing of a top striker target will also be vital to their title chances next season.
Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen are the two forwards most linked with a move to Old Trafford. Pallister added: "So the thing is, Manchester United is under a bit of a cloud at the moment because we're not sure what's going to happen with the bids for the club, or who's going to be in charge come the next transfer window. So that's a bit of a grey area.

"But I would say United also need a centre-forward as well. If they can bring in one of maybe their top two targets next season, then it's going to make United more dangerous.
"I think they've taken great strides this year because of the fact that we've had Casemiro and [Christian] Eriksen in there. I think the two lads in midfield have brought a different dimension to Manchester United, which we possibly have not had for a few years. So that's ticked the box in there.
"If you add Bellingham to that as well, then wow. If you get, as I say, one of the two centre-forwards, then I think that sends out a big message to the rest of the Premier League that Manchester United can compete again with the very best."
