Arsenal winger Theo Walcott is in the 30-man provisional England squad manager Fabio Capello will submit to FIFA today and is expected to make the cut for the final 23. The naming of the squad brings mixed emotions for Walcott, who was the shock inclusion of Sven-Goran Eriksson’s 2006 party as a 17-year-old.
He said: “It is nice deserving to go because getting the chance to play in the Premier League is tied in and I have played in the qualifiers.
“Obviously, the last time, I didn’t deserve to go at all.”
