World Cup: Poland escorted to Qatar by F1 fighter jets
Argentina great Sergio Aguero has shared a hilarious clip of his flight to Qatar being ambushed by lively Brazil fans. Aguero looked at the camera in a grimace as his country's South American rivals partied en route to the Middle East for the 2022 World Cup.
Brazil and Argentina are, respectively, the favourites and second favourites to lift the World Cup in Qatar this winter. And the two nations could lock horns in a mouthwatering semi-final if their tournament brackets unfold as expected.
Aguero earned 101 caps for Argentina, scoring 41 goals and featuring in the last three World Cup tournaments. And he was evidently unpleased when a group of rowdy Brazilians joined him on his flight to Qatar, scratching his head as a drum sounded in the distance.
The 34-year-old looked far from comfortable as he geared up for a 14-hour flight to the Gulf state if he did indeed travel from Brazil. And he is bound to be at the 80,000-capacity Lusail Iconic Stadium next week as Lionel Messi kicks off potentially his final World Cup campaign against Saudi Arabia in Group C.

In April, Aguero revealed that Messi and Scaloni had approached him to join the Argentina coaching staff for the World Cup. However, the Manchester City icon made it clear that he wanted to travel to Qatar for leisure rather than business so shortly after ending his playing career due to a heart condition.
He told ESPN: "The invitation to be part of Argentina staff was on the table. I spoke with Chiqui [Claudio Tapia, Argentina Football Association president], and I was clear with him about my goal to enjoy my time. I'm going to Qatar but as a fan.

"I have a great relationship with everyone from the national team, but I don't see myself in the coaching staff and with the players on a day-to-day basis. They are asking for a role that isn't for me right now. I had a talk with [Lionel Messi]. He and Lionel Scaloni gave me an idea of what they wanted from me.
"I asked them for some time to think about it and then told Chiqui that I wasn't ready for that. I will be available for any event related to Argentina national team as an image or an ambassador, but I don't want a day-to-day responsibility with the team."
