Gabriel Magalhaes has hit back at his old captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang following Arsenal's win over Chelsea on Sunday. Aubameyang had an afternoon to forget on his first appearance against the Gunners since his acrimonious exit.
Arsenal beat Chelsea 1-0 thanks to a close-range goal from Gabriel in the second half at Stamford Bridge. Aubameyang's presence in the Blues squad was a big talking point in the build up to the match.
The 33-year-old attempted to taunt his former team in a TV commercial advertising the game for BT Sport. Aubameyang was filmed saying: "Arsenal, nothing personal. I'm back, I'm blue, I'm ready."
But he failed to have much of a positive impact on the game. And Gabriel took a clear dig at his former team-mate on social media after the match.
The Brazilian posted a savage message referring to Aubameyang's pre-game warning. He tweeted: "NOTHING PERSONAL .. LONDON IS RED."
Aubameyang, who was substituted after an hour, watched his old club move back to the top of the Premier League table with the three points. Chelsea, meanwhile, are down in seventh place.
Aubameyang left Arsenal in January following several disciplinary breaches. Manager Mikel Arteta stripped him of the captaincy before letting him join Barcelona on a free transfer.
He moved back to the Premier League with Chelsea in the summer on deadline day. Former Aston Villa forward Gabriel Agbonlahor criticised Aubameyang's taunting of Arsenal in the build-up to the match and predicted it would come back to bite him.
Agbonlahor told talkSPORT in midweek: "I was a bit baffled when I saw it. I am surprised.

"I feel BT Sport would have been buzzing with getting him to say those words because it adds more spice to the game, more viewers of course. But very strange, I don't think you need to do that.
"I can imagine the media officer at Chelsea asked 'do you want to do this?' and he's probably said 'yeah'. I'd have never have done it, no.
"Because these things seem to work against you. It wouldn't surprise me now if he came on and missed a sitter and Arsenal go and win, and you think why did you have to do that?
"The respect he should have for Arsenal, yes he fell out with Arteta but the fans loved Aubameyang. So I think it's a silly thing to do and he could regret that."
