And with Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham also set to monitor the market until the final day, expect plenty more twists and turns in this most fascinating of transfer windows.

Houssem Aouar is out of Lyon's squad for their Ligue 1 game against Troyes.
However, the Premier League-linked midfielder has insisted that his absence is due to an ankle injury.
Aouar has been linked with Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace.
Responding to a journalist saying he had been left out for 'sporting reasons', the 24-year-old responded with the following tweet.
It translates as: "I was just in care today and practically all week…(ankle) call me when you want to write about me."

Tottenham could use Sergio Reguilon in discussions over signing Ruslan Malinovskyi from Atalanta, according to Italian reports.
Spurs want to sign Malinovskyi but talks have been difficult. The Premier League side want a loan move, but Atalanta would prefer to sell the player permanently.
Calcio Mercato claim that Spurs could use Atalanta's interest in left-back Reguilon to make the deal easier to complete.
Reguilon is surplus to requirements at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Antonio Conte suggests there could be more Tottenham transfers
Antonio Conte has revealed that Tottenham could make more signings despite welcoming seven new arrivals.
Spurs have strengthened the Italian’s squad with a view to being competitive in domestic and European competitions.
And the North Londoners will make further signings if players leave the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
He said on Thursday: “I think that we are okay and if someone goes away then for sure another player has to come.
"Especially if some player wants to go and play regularly and it's difficult to keep them here.”
Players leaving Spurs before the September 1 deadline is a strong possibility. Harry Winks, Tanguy Ndombele and Sergio Reguilon have all been linked with deaprtures.

Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers refused to reveal what he and Wesley Fofana have spoken about but says there have been no more bids for the defender.
The Foxes have rejected two offers from Chelsea and want more than £80million to sell the Frenchman, which would make him the most expensive defender of all time.
Rodgers added: "I don't think so far ahead. The idea is that he is very much a Leicester player. He's not for sale. Unless anything changes, I would expect him to be here.
Asked if Fofana has handed in a transfer request, the manager continued: "Yes, I can [clear that up]. He hasn't."

Nottingham Forest are set to secure their 16th (not a typo!) signing of the summer transfer window in the form of Wolves' Morgan Gibbs-White.
Forest have struck a £35million agreement for the midfielder who shone on loan at Sheffield United in the Championship last season, say The Telegraph.
England under-21 international Gibbs-White will have a medical today to become Forest's latest new signing of a very busy summer while they still want to land Houssem Aouar from Lyon too.
The Athletic meanwhile add the deal for Gibbs-White, 22, could eventually reach £44.5m.

Borussia Dortmund are claimed to be the only club who can offer Cristiano Ronaldo a way out of Manchester United in the next two weeks.
The Portugal captain's agent Jorge Mendes continues to look for a Champions League team who can take Ronaldo away from the struggling Red Devils.
And Dortmund are now said, per CBS Sports, to be the last side who could grant Ronaldo his wish of playing in Europe's top-tier competition again this term.
Borussia Dortmund is Cristiano Ronaldo\u2019s last hope of a #MUFC exit this summer with Jorge Mendes still pushing for an offer.
A move to Sporting was never on. No appetite at Ronaldo\u2019s end despite #UCL football and pushback from Ruben Amorim.
Cristiano Ronaldo's entourage deny claims that he is causing unrest in the Manchester United dressing room or eating lunch alone, according to CBS Sports.
The Portuguese asked to leave Old Trafford last month and his agents are believed to be trying to find him a new club.
Reports recently emerged stating that United could terminate his contract unless his attitude improves.
Ronaldo has featured in each of the Red Devils' two Premier League matches this season, drawing a blank on both occasions.
Arsenal are set to send teenager Salah Oulad M'Hand on loan to Hull City this summer, according to our very own Ryan Taylor.
The deal for the 18-year-old could be confirmed within the next 24 hours and will include a permanent option that the Tigers have the choice to active in 12 months' time.

Brighton are eyeing a permanent transfer for Chelsea youngster Billy Gilmour, according to The Daily Mail.
The Seagulls and the Blues have already conducted recent negotiations as Marc Cucurella headed to Stamford Bridge and Levi Colwill moved the other way.
Gilmour could find opportunities extremely limited under Thomas Tuchel with a host of midfielders ahead of him in the pecking order.
Brighton may have to replace in-demand midfielder Moises Caicedo this summer with Manchester United among the clubs monitoring his situation.
Chelsea are set to announce the signing of Italian youngster Cesare Casadei later today, according to the Evening Standard.
The Blues have finalised a £12.6million deal with Inter Milan for the 19-year-old, who is expected to join up with Thomas Tuchel's development squad.
Omari Hutchinson and Carney Chukwuemeka have already been snapped up by Chelsea this summer with a growing collection of promising young talent at Stamford Bridge.
In yet another Manchester United transfer update, the Red Devils are believed to be eyeing up Everton back-up goalkeeper Asmir Begovic.
The Telegraph claim that the Toffees are desperate to keep him on Merseyside but the Bosnia Herzegovina international, 35, could jump at the chance to become David De Gea's understudy at Old Trafford.
There is an outside chance of mounting a challenge for the No 1 spot under Erik ten Hag after De Gea's disastrous performance against Brentford last weekend.
Begovic has previously had back-up spells at Chelsea and AC Milan. United came under fire for letting previous second choice, Dean Henderson, join Nottingham Forest earlier this summer.

Atletico Madrid star and former Golden Boy winner Joao Felix was the subject of a mammoth £110million bid from Manchester United this week, according to reports.
The Red Devils are surveying multiple options in Madrid, not just at Atletico, as Erik ten Hag looks to fill vacancies in midfield and attack.
Los Colchoneros weren't impressed with United's approach and pointed to Felix's £300m release clause.
The Portuguese kicked off his La Liga campaign with a hat-trick of assists in a 3-0 win over Getafe on Monday night.
Manchester United have been handed two further transfer blows by Chelsea. The Blues are reportedly interested in signing Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro, and will also block United's interest in Christian Pulisic.
Casemiro emerged as a target for the Red Devils earlier this week. A move for Adrien Rabiot fell through during discussions over personal terms, so Erik ten Hag is in the market for another midfielder.
But 90min claim that Chelsea actually have a long-standing interest in the Brazilian and are considering a move before the end of the window. The report says signing a player of Casemiro's style has been a priority for Thomas Tuchel.
Manchester United are ready to bring their interest in Ajax winger Antony back to life and make a blockbuster approach for Erik ten Hag's priority attacking target. The Red Devils are set to launch their final push for Antony in the coming days amid a dramatic end to the summer transfer window.
United had hoped to reunite Ten Hag with the 22-year-old earlier this summer, after their successful relationship in the Netherlands. However, Ajax inflated their asking price from £68million to £84m to signify that he wasn't for sale after losing several other key first-team stars.
But just as United's pursuit was seemingly dead and buried, there could be hope for Ten Hag and supporters. According to Sky Sports, the club are back in for Antony and will present a 'massive offer' to Ajax this week.
