Everton working hard to improve team in January – Rafael Benitez
Everton have reportedly reached an 'agreement' with Manchester United for the loan signing of Donny van de Beek with the midfielder now deciding on his next move. Crystal Palace appeared to be the overriding favourites to sign Van de Beek on loan ahead of the January transfer window closing.
The 24-year-old is said to earn just over £100,000-a-week at United, which would instantly make him one of the best-paid players at either Everton or Palace.
Wilfried Zaha is the highest earner at Selhurst Park in a deal worth a reported £130,000-a-week.
Yerry Mina is surprisingly Everton's top earner, with Andre Gomes and Jordan Pickford also said to be earning over £100,000-a-week.
Everton are desperate for at least one new midfielder before the January window closes due to a number of injuries.
