Transfer news: Man Utd's Dembele response, £5m Liverpool bid, Spurs' Bissouma talks
THE January transfer window closes at 11pm on Monday. Express Sport rounds up all the latest rumours, gossip and done deals ahead of the deadline.
The closure of the January transfer window is upon us with teams into the final 36 hours in which they can do deals to sign new players for the second half of the season. Aston Villa, Everton and Newcastle have been among the busiest clubs so far, but plenty of Premier League incomings and outgoings are expected before 11pm on Monday.
Tottenham boss Antonio Conte and Arsenal's Mikel Arteta are among those managers scrambling to bring in some late arrivals before the winter window shuts.
While Chelsea and Manchester United have been rather quieter, though Liverpool and Manchester City are soon to announce deals for Luis Diaz and Julian Alvarez respectively.
Further down the table, Newcastle are poised to confirm the signing of Bruno Guimaraes as they seek to avoid relegation to the Championship.
Frank Lampard is set to become the new Everton manager and is also looking to get one or two new players in at Goodison Park.
Express Sport looks at all the latest done deals, gossip and rumours below.

West Ham want Darwin evolution
The Daily Mirror are reporting that West Ham are keen on Benfica's Darwin Nunez.
That's after being rejected by Leeds having made an approach for Raphinha.
The Hammers are eager to strengthen their attack as they chase Champions League qualification.
Benfica will only consider bids of around £50m for 22-year-old Uruguayan Nunez.
Juve offering Ramsey around
Still no takers for former Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey, who Juventus want rid of.
The Welshman's huge wages are the biggest sticking point given he remains a quality option.
He has been linked with a return to the Premier League but as it stands, that appears unlikely.
Juventus still trying to offload Aaron Ramsey before deadline. Been offered around to Newcastle, Crystal Palace & others this month. Burnley stepped forward earlier in window but player wasn’t keen. They’re still pushing but any move would involve serious pay-cut. #TwitterClarets

Tottenham and Man Utd's Bissouma talks
Tottenham, Manchester United and Aston Villa are all showing interest in signing Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma.
That's per RTL France journalist Fabrice Hawkins who says all three clubs want to try to sign the Malian.
He says discussions are 'intense' with Bissouma out of contract in 2023, meaning Brighton can demand a higher price now than they will be able to in the summer.
A £50m price tag has previously been bandied about in connection with the midfielder.
United deny Dembele bid
Manchester United have issued a response to claims they've made a move to sign Ousmane Dembele before 11pm tomorrow.
It's claimed Barcelona are simply trying to drum up interest in the Frenchman.
He's out of contract in the summer and therefore up for sale before the January window closes so they can net a fee.
In more trivial news, #mufc insist they haven’t bid for Ousmane Dembele. Barcelona keep linking him with United in an effort to alert someone who might actually buy him.

Newcastle want two more
With Bruno Guimaraes officially a Newcastle player, the Magpies are also chasing the signatures of Arsenal's Eddie Nketiah and Aston Villa's Matty Targett.
That's according to the Telegraph, who say Eddie Howe's side are working hard to sign the striker and the left-back.
Other reports have claimed Newcastle are also said to be harbour hopes of bringing in Jesse Lingard.
It could be a very busy final 30 hours of the window for the north east club.
Ndombele to fly to France
Tanguy Ndombele looks likely to leave Tottenham on loan before 11pm tomorrow.
The Frenchman is due to fly to his homeland tonight to complete a loan move to join Lyon.
Discussions are still ongoing but it appears likely he will return to the Ligue 1 club, at least temporarily, just two-and-a-half seasons after leaving.
Breaking | Tanguy Ndombele will fly to Lyon tonight ahead of a loan move from Tottenham - OL will take on majority of player’s wages but are also convinced that Spurs will give them an option to buy, still being negotiated, according to TF1.

It remains to be seen if that stance will change before the window closes.

Zakaria to Juve
Manchester United and Arsenal-linked Denis Zakaria is headed to Juventus, per Fabrizio Romano.
That will free up Rodrigo Bentacur to join Tottenham, having also been a target for Aston Villa in this window.
It's unclear whether the Uruguayan will join permanently or on a loan deal that later becomes permanent.
Any fee could cost Spurs around £20m.
More on Van de Beek
Everton do not have an option to sign Donny van de Beek permanently from Manchester United at the end of the season.
And they will pay a loan fee plus the player's wages in full.
Crystal Palace were not willing to pay up as much as the Toffees, who have won the race to sign the Dutchman.

Newcastle line up Man Utd swoop
Newcastle could make a late bid to bring Manchester United back-up goalkeeper Dean Henderson to the north east.
At least so say the Manchester Evening News who claim Eddie Howe is not satisfied with his options between the sticks.
Henderson is unhappy at United and has failed to make a single start in the Premier League this season under both Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick.
That will give Newcastle hope of striking a deal for a player Howe intends to start over Martin Dubrabvka, Karl Darlow and Freddie Woodman.

That was because the Ligue 1 giants could not free up a space in their squad to allow the Frenchman to join them.

Antonio Conte wants to get rid of the 25-year-old having previously criticised his work rate.

Van de Beek to join Everton?
Another story coming from Fabrizio Romano, via the Guardian, is that Van de Beek must now pick whether to join Everton or Crystal palace.
The Toffees have an agreement in place with Manchester United over the Netherlands midfielder.
He could become Frank Lampard's first addition as Toffees boss, though Lampard has not yet been unveiled.
Van de Beek must decide whether he would prefer to join Everton or Palace, who have also shown interest this week.
The Eagles are still working hard to convince the Dutchman to pick them.
Kulusevski to Tottenham done
Tottenham are set to sign Dejan Kulusevski having agreed a loan-to-buy deal with Juventus per Fabrizio Romano.
Spurs have agreed a loan fee and a buy clause which together total an initial £33.2m plus add-ons.
The deal will be made permanent if Spurs qualify for the Champions League and or Kulusevski makes a certain amount of appearances.
The news will be a welcome boost to Spurs following the disappointment of missing out on Adama Traore and Luis Diaz in recent days.
Alexander Isak excitement
With Dusan Vlahovic having joined Juventus, Arsenal are turning their attentions to alternative strikers.
Among them is Real Sociedad's Alexander Isak, who has prompted excitement among the Gunners' fanbase.
It has been claimed the Swede is in London and was on a night out in Soho with team-mate Adnan Januzaj, formerly of Manchester United, recently.
Isak is also said to be driving round in a Rolls Royce with the custom number plate 'I5 AAK', which is said to have only been registered recently.
And that has Arsenal fans believing Isak could be headed to north London.

Having had an approach for Raphinha rebuffed, West Ham have returned to Leeds with a big-money bid for Kalvin Phillips.

Leeds are likely to respond much in the same way they did to the bid for Raphinha given Phillips is equally as key to their team.
Luis Diaz leak
Liverpool fans are eagerly awaiting the announcement that Luis Diaz has joined the club from Porto.
And images have leaked from South America where Diaz has been having a medical this weekend ahead of his £50million switch to Porto.

Auba could still leave
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang may still depart Arsenal before the window shuts.
The Gunners striker was stripped of the captain's armband and has not played since December 6.
He returned early from AFCON duty for Gabon on medical grounds and has been linked with a move to the Middle East.
Still a chance Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang leaves Arsenal in coming days but Al-Nassr no longer an option. Still interest in Eddie Nketiah but Mikel Arteta determined to keep until summer. Palace have seen second offer rejected, nothing advanced with Newcastle at this stage. #AFC

Man Utd's Haaland blow
Borussia Dortmund are reportedly convinced that Erling Haaland wants to join Barcelona in the summer transfer window.
The Manchester United transfer target is expected to depart Dortmund courtesy of a £64million release clause becoming active.
And the Daily Star say with a whole host of clubs lining up for the Norwegian, he wants Barca.
That is a blow to United who had identified Haaland as the man to lead the line for them for the foreseeable future.
Everton want Van de Beek
Everton are poised to name Frank Lampard as their new manager - and he wants Donny van de Beek signed on loan.
The Dutchman, an outcast at Manchester United, had looked headed to Crystal Palace.
But the Telegraph say the Toffees want to hijack Palace's move with Van de Beek considered a priority addition.
The 24-year-old has found game time hard to come by at Old Trafford and is eager for more regular minutes elsewhere.
