Jesse Lingard has been advised against leaving Manchester United for West Ham by former Hammers midfielder Jack Wilshere. Lingard enjoyed a hugely successful spell on loan at the London Stadium in the second half of last season. His form led to a recall to Gareth Southgate's England squad ahead of last summer's European Championship.
West Ham were keen to sign Lingard on a permanent deal last summer.
However, the midfielder wanted to stay at United in the hope of getting more opportunities.
But he is yet to start a Premier League match this season and has made just one appearance since Ralf Rangnick replaced the sacked Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in December.
Lingard's contract at Old Trafford expires at the end of this season.

David Moyes is keen to take him back to east London and is eyeing a cut-price deal due to the player's contract situation.
But Wilshere has advised Lingard to stay at United for as long as possible.
The ex-England international, who has been training with Arsenal since October in an attempt to maintain his fitness, says Lingard must live in the moment at a club the size of United and stick it out for as long as he can.
Wilshere told talkSPORT: “I think after the six months he had at West Ham, he probably thought he was going to get a chance [at United]. He probably deserved a chance.

West Ham manager Moyes spoke about his disappointment in Lingard's lack of game time at United in December.
"I can't really talk about him [Lingard] because he's a Manchester United player and it's not for me to talk," said the Hammers boss.
"But he was really good for us. Jesse knows what we all think of him here. My disappointment for Jesse would be, I think he's such a talented football player and he's not playing.
"He played a big part in our second half of last season. But you'd have to give credit to the players here, they've moved on without Jesse."
