Piers Morgan has revealed what Cristiano Ronaldo texted him after scoring twice against Arsenal at the start of December. Ronaldo's brace helped Manchester United to a 3-2 win in Michael Carrick's final game as caretaker boss, inflicting a second defeat in three games on Arsenal.
Adidas and Manchester United have launched their official 2021/22 home jersey, putting a modern twist on their classic club styles.
In December 2020, Morgan hosted the 36-year-old on the widely-acclaimed 'Cristiano Ronaldo Meets Piers Morgan' interview on ITV.
The pair dined together in Turin in September, before Ronaldo completed his sensational return to United.
"We'd dined on a glorious feast of the finest Japanese food and Italian red wine (I drank rather more of that than he did) and chatted about everything from elite sport and politics to serial killers," Morgan described in the Mail afterwards.

And it seems like they're fond of each other, with Morgan claiming he exchanged texts with Ronaldo before and after the December 2 clash at Old Trafford.
In his final column on the Mail on Sunday, the 56-year-old revealed he asked Ronaldo not to score against the Gunners.
He wrote: "Arsenal played Manchester United tonight, and I sent Cristiano Ronaldo a desperate plea before kick-off: 'Please don't score against us…'
"Of course, he scored twice, and United won 3-2. 'Sorry,' Cristiano texted back after the final whistle. I would have accepted the apology if it hadn't also contained a laughing emoji."

Ronaldo scored his 800 career goal to fire United ahead in the second half after Bruno Fernandes responded to Emile Smith Rowe's opener on the brink of the break.
Martin Odegaard drew Arsenal level just two minutes later before the Portuguese icon came up with another massive goal from the penalty spot to secure a 3-2 triumph.
Ronaldo hasn't stopped scoring crucial goals for the Red Devils since returning from Juventus in the summer.
He has scored 13 goals and registered two assists in 15 starts this season, most recently netting the winner in a hard-fought 1-0 win at Norwich City on Saturday evening.
