Arteta gives Arsenal team news before Everton clash
Arsenal are planning on signing a striker next summer, according to reports. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has toiled of late, with the 32-year-old recently benched for Monday night’s defeat to Everton at Goodison Park. And, in further bad news for the Gunners captain, Mikel Arteta is looking to bolster his squad in 2022.

“He needs to get out on that training field and really practice his finishing,” said Seaman.
“And get confidence from training because he’s really lacking that when it comes to that final decision, that final finish.
“He missed one I think against Newcastle, quite an easy one, but we recovered from that.
“Then, last night, it wasn’t an easy chance but it’s a good chance.
“It’s a shame he’s going through what he does but all strikers do that, look at Harry Kane at Tottenham, one goal all season.

“And you’re thinking ‘woah what happened to Harry Kane’. With Aubameyang it’s just a confidence thing, we know he can do it and we’ve seen him do it in the past, we’re just waiting for that little boost.
“And hopefully he gets a two-foot tap-in and that brings his confidence back!”
Arsenal are next in action against Southampton on Saturday.
And whether Aubameyang starts that match remains to be seen.
The Saints will go into the game well-rested after last playing against Brighton on December 4.
