Tottenham 'contact Dejan Kulusevski's agent' as Fabio Paratici plots January transfer
TOTTENHAM boss Antonio Conte could raid his former club Juventus for Swedish midfielder Dejan Kulusevski.
Michael Carrick: It is the right time for me to leave Manchester United
Antonio Conte is well underway in his Tottenham Hotspur tenure, having taken over from Nuno Espirito Santo last month. And, with the winter transfer window around the corner, reports suggest that he could raid his old club Juventus for starlet Dejan Kulusevski.
Conte, 52, joined Tottenham in November after a tumultuous spell under Nuno was ended prematurely by Spurs chiefs.
Having managed just ten Premier League games in north London, Nuno was relieved of his duties after five losses in seven.
Conte was brought in to steady the ship and bring the Lilywhites back to the level they were at under Mauricio Pochettino.
Bar a shock loss away at NS Mura in the Europa Conference League, Conte has made Tottenham a much tougher side to break down.
And with a transfer kitty to spend over the winter window, the Italian is reportedly set to make a move for Swedish prodigy Kulusevski.
The report by Sportmediaset claims that Kulusevski's agent Alessandro Lucci, in partnership with Juventus, has taken note of Tottenham and Arsenal's interest in the Swede.
At the moment, it is thought that only loan bids with an option to buy have been lodged for the ex-Atalanta youngster.
But the 21-year-old will not be sold for less than £31million, a relatively cheap fee for a player who was awarded Serie A's Best Young Player in 2019/20 for his efforts on loan at Parma.
Tottenham have struggled to record an adequate amount of goals this season with the joint-third worst attack in the league.
And Kulusevski would offer a different dynamic to their attacking output.
He's already amassed over 100 first-team appearances for Italian clubs at the age of just 21, with 11 coming in the Champions League.
However, it is yet to be seen whether a deal can be done to bring him to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Tottenham are still looking to climb up the table heading into the festive schedule.
But their immediate attention turns to the Europa Conference League next week when they host Rennes on Thursday.
Conte's side sit second in the group, level on points with Vitesse Arnhem who go up against basement side NS Mura in their final group match.
