Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reviews Manchester City defeat
Brendan Rodgers would reportedly be "seduced" by the prospect of managing Manchester United. Rodgers is one of the favourites to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer if the current United boss were to be sacked. The Northern Irishman is currently at Leicester, where he led the club to their first-ever FA Cup triumph last season.

"Brendan is very much a traditionalist," McGarry said on Reach PLC's Transfer Window podcast.
"His upbringing in Northern Ireland obviously saw him take a great interest in the football across the Irish Sea.
"We know that he supported Celtic, as many Irish Catholics do, for obvious reasons. But also Manchester United would have been his English team in the Premier League, or First Division at the time.
"When I say traditionalist I mean he would very much be seduced by the history of Manchester United, and by the challenge of resurrecting one of the greatest clubs in the world."

Rodgers has also been touted as a potential successor to Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.
Guardiola is likely to leave City at the end of his contract in 2023.
But McGarry reckons the United job is much more likely to become available first.
He added: "Manchester City of course have limitless assets, already have an amazing squad, his opportunity to win big prizes with City at this moment in time you would have to say are greater than they would be with Manchester United.

"However, I suppose it's all about timing isn't it. We know Pep will leave at the end of his current contract, we know that Manchester United may be available next week, never mind next summer.
"So if they came knocking at Brendan's door, I think he would definitely be very tempted."
McGarry's podcast co-host Duncan Castles says United owners the Glazers have narrowed down their managerial search to two names.
Rodgers is one, with Paris Saint-Germain boss Mauricio Pochettino the other.

Castles said: "They are putting out a message that they still believe in the cultural reboot, the kind of PR story that they've sold around Solskjaer.
"They therefore want a manager to fit that profile.
"I think that reduces down to most likely a couple of names, one of whom they've been interested in for a long time, Mauricio Pochettino.
