Manchester United v Manchester City Match in Pictures
Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's career has taken a turn for the worse after his side were completely outplayed by arch-rivals Manchester City on Saturday. The Citizens raced into a 2-0 lead at half-time after an own goal from Eric Bailly and a scrappy finish from Bernardo Silva were enough to earn the bragging rights on derby day.
United had just one shot on target - from Cristiano Ronaldo in the first-half - throughout the entire game as they struggled yet again under Solskjaer.
Recording just 32 per cent possession, this was arguably a more toothless performance than the one against Liverpool two weeks ago.
And with just two chances of any note throughout the entire game, United fans were not happy, with a chorus of boos ringing around the ground at full-time.
Yet it wasn't so much the attacking output that angered supporters.
The defensive display was awful against City, with a wild own goal by Bailly almost repeated by Victor Lindelof, before a mix-up between Luke Shaw and David De Gea allowed Bernardo Silva to double the lead.
