Mauricio Pochettino 'doesn't suit Manchester United' says pundit
Manchester United have had a difficult season under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer so far. They’re eight points behind Chelsea in the Premier League, already out of the Carabao Cup and have relied on Cristiano Ronaldo to save them in the Champions League. And, amid their woes, links to Mauricio Pochettino have surfaced once again.
United have admired Pochettino for a number of years, being first impressed by the Argentine during his time with Southampton.
While the current Paris Saint-Germain manager was at Tottenham, the links were constant. Both Louis van Gaal and Jose Mourinho often found themselves being tipped to lose their jobs, with Pochettino regularly touted as their replacement.
Now, we’ve gone full circle again.
With United struggling for consistency under Solskjaer, Pochettino’s name has again emerged as a possible option to take over.
Obviously, due to his commitments in France, any appointment wouldn’t be easy. Especially given the money involved.

But United are still keeping tabs on Pochettino’s situation and, therefore, the possibility of him taking over at Old Trafford in the foreseeable future won’t be ruled out.
And, in Ronaldo, they already have a player the Argentine has waxed lyrical over.
Speaking in 2017, before his Tottenham side were due to meet Real Madrid in the Champions League, Pochettino made his feelings on the Portugal international known.
And he was extremely complimentary in what he said, saying: “He’s a phenomenon.
“He has been awarded ‘The Best’ and the truth is that he deserves it.
“In addition to his qualities as a professional, he is an example.
