Manchester United hero Gary Neville has delivered his verdict on Daniel James' move to Leeds United, saying the decision will benefit all parties involved. James joined the Whites after Cristiano Ronaldo's Old Trafford return.
James departed United after failing to hold down a place in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's senior side.
The speedy winger looked promising after his £15million arrival from Swansea in 2019.
But he failed to maintain a first-team regular, and was pushed down the pecking order this summer by Jadon Sancho's arrival.
Following Ronaldo's emotional return to United, it was decided that James would be allowed to leave.
Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa is a huge fan of the winger and came within a phone call of signing him in 2019 just months before he joined the Red Devils.

And when James became available late in the summer window, the Whites didn't hesitate and swiftly agreed a £25m deal.
While the winger's Old Trafford career might be considered by some as a case of what could have been, Neville believes the move will work out best for all involved.
James is expected to be a first-team regular at Elland Road, and could replace Helder Costa on the wing.
Speaking after the move was confirmed, he explained that he thinks the winger will thrive under Bielsa.

“I think it’s really good for Dan James,” said Neville.
“I think it’s one of those that it’s a win-win. There’s no sadness for me in Dan James leaving.
"He came to Man United and always did his very best. A massive threat on the counter-attack. But Man United have a lot of players in those areas.
“I think it’s very important for young players to go and play. And Leeds have always wanted him. They wanted him the first time before Man United got him.
