Donny van de Beek's nightmare Manchester United career continues to burn on - after the out-of-favour midfielder's agent has voiced his frustration over blocked transfers on deadline day.
Van de Beek, 24, hasn't featured for United so far this season and was used as a sporadic player last term despite his £40m transfer fee.
The Dutchman had been linked with a move away - either on loan or permanently - and after supposed interest, it appeared he would depart the doors of Old Trafford.
However, according to his agent Guido Albers, the former Ajax midfielder was not allowed to leave by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer - despite his refusal to use him this season.
Everton reportedly made a late bid to sign the playmaker on loan, although Rafa Benitez's men were unsuccessful.

"I prefer not to bring this up. Everyone who knows Donny.... he just wants to play football, he loves football. So from my reaction... I think you can tell.
“Manchester United looked to be giving permission, but eventually they didn't. It's been painful lately.
"And now he lost his spot in the Dutch National Team, while he works just as hard as he always did.”
Van de Beek missed out on the Euro 2020 campaign as the Netherlands got to the round of sixteen, before being knocked out by Czech Republic.

Louis van Gaal said that his exclusion was due to a lack of game time - a factor which may have heavily influenced his agent's decision.
United have not signed a central midfielder this summer, which may give Van de Beek more opportunity for minutes.
However, with the club reportedly interested in Declan Rice and Ruben Neves, his chances of appearances may be short-lived come January.
