Peter Schmeichel admits 'confusion' about 'it's coming home'
Peter Schmeichel was grilled on Kasper Schmeichel's cheeky comment asking "has it ever been home?" in the build-up to England's crucial Euro 2020 semi-final with Denmark. The former Manchester United keeper backed his son and claimed that countries outside of England are confused as to why England claims it is coming home despite having never won a European Championship.
Peter Schmeichel questioned Good Morning Britain's Susanna Reid remarks after she started her interview with the Danish football legend by saying "It is coming home."
Schmeichel, who won the 1992 Euros with Denmark, stated that other countries are "confused" by England's slogan.
GMB co-host Alastair Campbell said: "You must have been very proud of your son yesterday with his little quip at the press conference."
Mr Schmeichel replied: "You get confronted with this [it's coming home] everywhere.
