Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport claims the Red Devils would be prepared to pay Ronaldo £17million a year.
Reacting to those rumours, Keys explained how a return to Old Trafford could be ideal.
The beIN SPORTS presenter said: "When you consider he earns more off the pitch, from his social media, than he does from his wages on it, from United's point of view that's probably not a bad deal. Think what he will generate.
"Yes [off the pitch]. What has been their concentration for the last decade, minimum? The global brand is arguably more important."
