Euro 2020: Jenas on whether England players will be 'nervous'
After being delayed for a year, the UEFA Euro 2020 Football Championship is finally set to begin tomorrow. Portugal won the tournament when it was last held in 2016, with this year’s being a celebration of the 60th “birthday” of the European Championship competition.
With millions getting ready to watch tomorrow, one football-loving pub landlord has taken the opportunity to celebrate in style.
Adam Chamberlain, general manager of the Big Tree pub in Sheffield, draped over 1,000 feet of flags around the venue to celebrate the extravaganza.
It took 36 hours to pin up the flags of every nation which qualified for the European Championships this summer.
For those going to celebrate the event at the pub, they will be greeted by two huge 10ft tall “Come on England” inflatable mascots.

Staff will also be wearing England tees to get in the spirit as the game is shown on the pub’s six 55-inch televisions inside, as well as the three 50-inch ones in the beer garden.
Mr Chamberlain said he is “buzzing” for the tournament, especially as he thinks this is one of England’s best squads to date.
He added: “I’d like to think this is the best-decorated pub in the UK. We thought we wanted to do something special for the Euros because it’s been quite a tough year and we’re all just buzzing for this.
“We wanted to lift spirits and get everyone excited and thought – go big or go home.
