Chelsea have been told that Barcelona midfielder Miralem Pjanic does not want to join them despite their attempts to prise the 31-year-old away from his difficult spell at the Catalan club, according to reports.
The Bosnia and Herzegovina midfielder started just six league games under Ronald Koeman.
He featured as a substitute on a further 13 occasions during a challenging season for Barcelona under the Dutchman.
Barca’s wait for a league title will extend into a third year, but former Everton boss Koeman remains set to stay. It will be their longest run without lifting La Liga in 13 years.
Atletico Madrid were crowned champions and finished seven points above Barca.
