Chelsea have a worrying goal-scoring statistic that might encourage the club to sanction a £150million move for Tottenham striker Harry Kane this summer.
The England captain has reportedly expressed his desire to leave Spurs at the end of the season, and the Blues are one of very few clubs who can afford him.
Thomas Tuchel’s side are set to finish in the top four of the Premier League despite not having a regular scorer.
Tammy Abraham and Timo Werner are joint-top of the list for most goals for the club in all competitions. The pair both have 12, though Abraham has scored just once since Tuchel’s arrival on January 25.
Werner has scored just half of his goals in the top-flight and has endured a tricky first season at Stamford Bridge since his £47million arrival from RB Leipzig in the summer.

The Germany international has scored just two times in the Premier League during 2021. Fourteen assists in all competitions at least make up for his lack of goals.
Werner’s most recent goal was the first in Chelsea’s 2-0 Champions League semi-final win over Real Madrid. The Blues will face Manchester City in the final on May 29.
A tap-in against West Ham United was the 25-year-old’s latest goal in the top-flight.
And it is in the Premier League where Chelsea have struggled for goals this season. Their tally of 57 is the fewest of any team in the top six.

A regular goal-scorer is a necessity if Chelsea are to challenge Man City, Manchester United and Liverpool for the title next season.
And they can earn an early advantage over their rivals by signing Kane this summer.
The 27-year-old reportedly believes he has a gentleman’s agreement with Tottenham chiefs that allows him to leave the club this year. It comes after Man City had early advances blocked before the start of the season.
Pep Guardiola’s side are one of few clubs who can afford to sign Kane, who earns £200,000 per week. Chelsea, Man Utd and French side Paris Saint-Germain are the others.
Kane has scored 32 times in all competitions this season and has six career goals against Chelsea in 16 appearances.
His desire to leave Spurs is largely due to an absence of trophies.
Chelsea’s victory over Leicester, which comes after their FA Cup defeat against the Foxes three days prior, all but confirmed their Champions League qualification for next season.
Playing in the elite European competition for a team who could still win it against Man City later this month might entice Kane to join.
