Marcel Desailly understands why Timo Werner has struggled to adapt to life in the Premier League with Chelsea. However, Arsene Wenger believes players coming from German football should find it easier and adapt quicker than Werner has.

Despite huge success with his country, the former defender admitted he found it hard early on during his time in the Premier League.
And Desailly thinks Werner is proving he is going through the same process now.
He said on beIN SPORTS: "It was difficult for me as a central defender where normally I was used to being a strong guy but when I got into the Premier League it was something completely different. Even me.
"So I understand for Timo Werner who doesn't have yet this kind of fighting spirit naturally.

"He has great ability, his speed, right foot, left foot and everything.
"But he has to adapt, he has to absorb the pressure and the speed that we have in this Premier League."
Wenger managed Arsenal in the Premier League for almost 22 years.
The Frenchman admits players arriving from foreign countries can take time to settle to the style of football in England.
But he says players from the German league do not find it as hard as others, suggesting Werner should have adapted quicker than he has at Stamford Bridge.
