Arsenal are set to miss out on signing Martin Odegaard on a permanent deal following their withdrawal from the European Super League, according to reports. Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is said to be 'furious' at the six English clubs who have pulled out of the breakaway league.

But it now looks unlikely Odegaard will remain in north London next season.
The Sun claim Real chief Perez is not keen to help out any of the Premier League clubs who have turned their back on the Super League.
The Super League was the brainchild of Perez and The Sun say the Spaniard's anger could get in the way of Arsenal's attempts to pursue a deal for Odegaard.
Speaking this week, Perez insisted plans for a Super League are not over yet.

Speaking to a fans forum this week, Arsenal chief executive Vinai Venkatesham apologised for the club's role in the hottest topic in football right now.
"Those who know me know I care about this club, it was really tough, we have to repair, we made mistakes," Venkatesham said.
"Arsenal were not the authors of this proposal, despite what many think.
"On this project ‘the train was leaving the station’, we made the decision to join. We made a bad decision, a terrible one.
"We made a terrible decision, now we need to make good ones. I have been in touch with all other 14 PL clubs to apologise for our part in this. We are working hard to rebuild our reputation."
