Thomas Muller is a rare breed in modern football at sticking with the same club for the entirety of his career, but the forward has hinted that he could follow in the footsteps of Thiago Alcantara, who joined Liverpool last summer. Muller burst onto the scene when he broke into Bayern's first time in 2008 and would soon become a regular in the starting line-up the following season.
He's become synonymous with Bayern's success ever since, boasting an incredible trophy cabinet which includes nine league titles and two Champions League winner's medals.
The Germany international signed a contract extension in April last year until 2023, at which time he will be 33 years of age.
Muller remains as key as ever to Bayern's squad, starting 23 Bundesliga matches this season and even captained the club in their Champions League last-16 second leg against Lazio.
There has been a growing expectation that Muller will end his career with the club he made his debut with nearly 13 years ago.
"I'm not fixed to this club," Muller told The Times.
"I have a special relationship, I love Bayern before I started playing for them.
"But when there is a situation where you have to decide maybe to play for a different club it would be no shame and no problem at all.
"Maybe like with Thiago [Alcantara, now at Liverpool]."
