Marcos Llorente shows off skills in Atletico Madrid training
Manchester United have made an offer of €80million (£68.5m) for Atletico Madrid midfielder Marcos Llorente, according to reports. Atletico are said to be tempted to accept the bid due to their current financial circumstances caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
Llorente has enjoyed a successful season in La Liga, where he has been a regular starter for the league leaders.
The Spaniard has gone from strength to strength since netting a brace in extra time of the Champions League last-16 tie away to Liverpool last March.
Llorente's two goals sent the defending champions out of the competition on a dramatic night at Anfield.
United are set for a busy summer transfer window headed up by their new recruitment team of football director John Murtough and technical director Darren Fletcher.
