Man Utd: Pundit accuses Ed Woodward of lying about transfers
Manchester United have opened talks with ‘an alternative solution to their goalkeeping problem’, according to reports. Ed Woodward, it seems, is ready to take transfer action amid the uncertainty over David De Gea and Dean Henderson’s futures. So Express Sport will now take a look at three goalkeepers the club could target.

United have long had interest in Atletico Madrid star Jan Oblak.
The Slovakia international is one of the best goalkeepers in world football and, this term, has helped his side to the top of the La Liga table.
Oblak has been at the club ever since arriving from Benfica back in 2014.
And he could be set to pursue a new challenge should Atletico hold on to win the La Liga title this season.
Signing him won’t be cheap but United have the financial muscle to afford any player on the planet. The coronavirus crisis, however, may need to subside in order for a deal to be struck.
Kasper Schmeichel, at the age of 34, is approaching the twilight years of his career.
But the Leicester goalkeeper has been in sensational form this season and could be the club’s next Edwin van der Sar.
Van der Sar was already a veteran when he arrived back in 2005 but he soon established himself as a United legend, helping them win four Premier League titles.
Schmeichel could be tempted to follow in the footsteps of his father, Peter.
And, because of his age, he likely wouldn’t be too expensive.

Solskjaer speaks out
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed De Gea will miss Sunday’s showdown with Manchester City after he welcomed a child into the world.
“It’s a fantastic day for David, of course. When you become a dad it’s possibly the best feeling you can have,” he said.
“Those who are lucky enough to have had that feeling know exactly what David is going through now. We’ll give him the time he needs before he comes back.
“He asked to go home and in the old world it’s a day and you go and you’re ready again. With the pandemic and the quarantines, it’s a different world.
“Still, we felt when David wanted to be there to support his girlfriend that’s not even a decision to make. Dean [Henderson] came in and played well and he’s ready. I’ll give David the time he needs of course.”
Solskjaer did, however, claim he expects the Spain international to be available again soon.

“As soon as David travels back, we just have to follow the Government rules. I expect him to be available very soon,” he said.
“Making up stories that have been in the press this morning, that’s unfair on our fans and David.
“We allowed him to go back and be with his girlfriend. We want our players back as soon as possible.
“But there’s a human being in there that we had to look after and David was there for this fantastic day for him and his girlfriend and his family. I don’t know when he’ll be back; it won’t be long.
“This is the biggest occasion in any parent’s life so of course we allowed him to go.
“Dean did well against Palace and I’m sure he’s looking forward to this City game as well. He has had that experience already this season in the Carabao Cup, so that will stand him in good stead.”
