Ole Gunnar Solskjaer: Does Man Utd manager deserve more respect?
Manchester United presenter and podcaster Sam Homewood has spoken exclusively to Express Sport about the team's performances under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer gets "nowhere near the respect he deserves", according to Sam Homewood. The Red Devils have undergone something of a transformation since the Norwegian was given the role on a permanent basis. There has been a shift in transfer policy to recruit young and hungry players, while a more attacking style of play has been adopted on the pitch.

Solskjaer led United to a third-place finish last season and they occupy the same spot heading into the festive period this term.
However, they can go within two points of leaders Liverpool if they win their game in hand.
Homewood is a passionate United fan and has been close by watching it all unfold.
He joined MUTV as a presenter in 2018 and now also co-hosts the club's official podcast, UTD Podcast, alongside Helen Evans and David May.
Speaking exclusively to Express Sport, Homewood said: "Even now, there are people on the outside looking at Manchester United and going, 'no way, not good enough'.
"Ole Gunnar Solskjaer gets nowhere near the respect he deserves as manager.
"Consider the amount of external pressure he's been under from different media outlets, journalists and fans over this season, for example.
"Compare that to Frank Lampard and the money he's spent at Chelsea, compare that to Pep Guardiola and where they are in the league.

"Both clubs are behind Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's Manchester United, who could be two points off the top they win their game in hand.
"And all of those people, instead of saying 'yes I was wrong', they look at United and go 'they're lucky to get these results'.
"They're not lucky, they keep doing it. You win six away games in a row and you come from behind in each one. That's not luck, it's incredible consistency and resilience to find those results.
"At some point, there's a lot of people that are going to have to admit they were wrong about Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and about Manchester United."
Speaking ahead of the Boxing Day trip to Leicester, the United boss said: "There's noise around Manchester United anyway, so for us it's about improving as a team and taking one game at a time, we have to.
"That's the name of the game and that's the only way you will challenge for anything at the end of a season anyway.
"It is not something we talk about. The only thing we talk about and focus on is improving every day, and learning how to deal with certain situations.
"At the moment we're getting praise and that's another thing to learn to deal with."
