Chelsea vs Man United: Lampard discusses penalty decision
Manchester United sent scouts to watch Swedeish side IFK Norrkoping’s rising star Isak Bergmann Johannesson on October 18 - and the player has opened up on the transfer interest.
The Icelandic youngster impressed in the 3-1 win over Varbergs BoIS on October 18 with many scouts in attendance.
The 17-year-old winger is the son of former Premier League star Joey Gudjonsson, who represented Aston Villa, Wolves, Leicester and Burnley.
Norrkoping’s chief scout Stig Torbjornsen has explained how severe the interest has been.
“I’ve never experienced anything like it," he told Sportbladet. "The interest is completely wild.
"It’s such a battle for the young talent. You can tell by all the calls and requests you get. When there’s a hype around a player, the others want to join in."

When asked if United and Liverpool were among those clubs, he added: "Yes, it is the category of clubs that are interested. You notice that many are interested because they make direct contact with us.”
A week after United scouts were sent to Sweden, European giants Juventus and Premier League champions Liverpool followed suit.
Johannesson has admitted growing up dreaming of United but he did not rule out joining one of their rivals.
"Manchester United are my favourite team, but Norrkoping is my dream club," he said.
