Sky Sports apologise for 'false' Patrice Evra claim about Wilfried Zaha's Man Utd downfall
Patrice Evra made a comment about why Wilfried Zaha's career at Manchester United didn't work out.
Wilfried Zaha shows off his home workout regime
Sky Sports were forced to make an apology live on air after Patrice Evra's "false" claim that Wilfried Zaha had a personal relationship with David Moyes' daughter during his time at Manchester United. United started their season with a disappointing 3-1 defeat to Palace at Old Trafford on Saturday night.
Zaha scored twice against his former side with Andros Townsend scoring early on as Palace recorded their second successive victory at Old Trafford.
The game was somewhat tainted by a controversial double VAR incident which led to Zaha's first goal of the game from the penalty spot.
But there was also some controversy in the studio when talking about Zaha's career at United.
The Palace winger was a promising player during his time at United but never truly made an impact for the club.

Zaha played just four games under Moyes during his debut season in charge at United before selling the forward back to Palace.
And Evra claimed live on air that an alleged affair with Moyes' daughter was the reason for his career at United coming to an end.
"I remember what ruined his career for Manchester United is when he had this true or untrue affair with David Moyes' daughter," he said.
"Because in the pre-season I remember he was playing every game but when that news came out, (he was) out of the game and he disappeared. He would be a massive trade for United."

But Sky Sports were forced to make an apology live on air for the "false" claims made by Evra after the game.
Sky Sports presenter Kelly Cates read out the statement live on air.
"We have to clarify a comment made earlier in the programme suggesting that there may have been a relationship between Wilfried Zaha and David Moyes' daughter," she said.
"We understand that Wilfried Zaha has never met David Moyes' daughter and that the claim made by Patrice was false.
"We apologise for any offence caused."
