Georginio Wijnaldum has just 12 months left on his contract with Barcelona interested in signing the midfielder.
Liverpool: Steve Nicol urges club to keep Gini Wijnaldum
Barcelona will be able to sign Georginio Wijnaldum for just £15million with Liverpool hopeful a deal can be reached. Wijnaldum has been a big part of Liverpool's success in the past two seasons.
He ensured his place in Anfield folklore with two goals in the famous Champions League semi-final second leg win over Barcelona in 2019 on their way to lifting the trophy.
And he was Jurgen Klopp's most used midfielder last season as Liverpool went on to win their first Premier League title.
But there has been lingering question marks over Wijnaldum's future at the club with negotiations over a new deal seemingly at a standstill.
Wijnaldum's future also coincides with Liverpool's interest in signing Thiago Alcantara.

Liverpool though are currently unwilling to meet Bayern Munich's £30million asking price for the Spain international.
Klopp has limited funds available to him this summer due to the financial implications caused from the coronavirus pandemic.
He will likely need to sell before looking at bringing in any more recruits this summer.
And it appears as though Liverpool are ready to let Wijnaldum leave to join Barcelona.

Ronald Koeman is desperate to link back up with the 29-year-old having built a strong working relationship with the Dutch national team.
And according to the Sunday Mirror, Barcelona could land Wijnaldum for just £15m.
It is claimed that Barcelona had hoped £10m would be enough to sign the Liverpool midfielder.
But the report adds that Liverpool and Barcelona are both confident a deal can be agreed between the two clubs.
Wijnaldum joined Liverpool in 2016 as one of Klopp's first signings at Anfield.
He has since gone on to make 187 appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring 19 goals and providing 15 assists.
Liverpool will likely use the money from Wijnaldum's sale to try and sign Thiago from Bayern.
The Spaniard similarly has just one year left on his contract and the Bundesliga champions don't want to lose him for free next summer.
