Thomas Partey: Arsenal move would be 'surprising' says Balague
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is keen to strengthen his midfield during the transfer window and he has been linked with Atletico Madrid’s Thomas Partey. The defensive midfielder is a key member of Diego Simeone’s side and made 46 appearances in all competitions last season.
Speaking about the Ghanian’s qualities earlier this year, Simeone said: "Thomas is the one who best understands this position and the transition from defence to attack, shooting, scoring, providing assists and playing passes between the lines.
"When he's at his best level consistently, he's so good that all the best teams in Europe are looking at him."
How much does Thomas Partey earn?
According to The Guardian, Partey takes home a weekly wage of £65,000-a-week.
