Kylian Mbappe will 'want to come to Liverpool' says Crouch
Former Liverpool striker Rickie Lambert has admitted Liverpool's kit deal with Nike led to him dreaming about the possibility of Kylian Mbappe heading to Anfield this summer. The Reds have been on a meteoric rise over the past few seasons under Jurgen Klopp.
“I would like to see Liverpool bring in at least one more forward to help with the goals, to help the front three and to give it a little bit more competition,” Lambert told talkSPORT.
But Lambert saw the lucrative Nike deal as a potential sign that an even bigger transfer was coming for Liverpool in the form of PSG star Mbappe.
The France sensational has a major sponsorship with Nike and Klopp reportedly spent hours trying to convince Mbappe to join Liverpool back in 2017.
There is some connection between Liverpool and Mbappe and the recent Nike deal led Lambert to thinking a "dream" transfer would have been possible.
