Timo Werner transfer is ‘great business’ for Chelsea says Fjortoft
Timo Werner has signed a contract completing his move from RB Leipzig to Chelsea. The German international will join the Blues this summer after penning what is thought to be a five-year deal.
Chelsea wasted no time signalling their intention to trigger the RB Leipzig star's release clause, and the Blues have now got a deal worth over the line and confirmed the transfer on their official website.
Werner is reportedly set to earn just over £170,000-a-week and will move to Stamford Bridge when the Bundesliga season finishes at the end of the month.

This will mean the frontman will not feature in the remainder of RB Leipzig's Champions League campaign.
Instead, Werner will join up with Chelsea in July - subject to passing a medical - in an attempt prepare for next season as soon as possible.
Werner was convinced to make the switch to west London following discussions with Chelsea manager Frank Lampard and technical and performance advisor Petr Cech.
The Blues pair made a pre-lockdown trip to Germany in order to speak with the player, his family and his agent about a potential move.

Werner said: "I am delighted to be signing for Chelsea, it is a very proud moment for me to be joining this great club.
"I of course want to thank RB Leipzig, the club and the fans, for four fantastic years. You will forever be in my heart.
"I look forward to next season with my new team-mates, my new manager and of course the Chelsea fans. Together we have a very successful future ahead of us."
Club director Marina Granovskaia added: "We are very excited that Timo Werner has chosen to join Chelsea. He is a player who was coveted all over Europe and it is no surprise, he has that rare mix of being young and exciting and yet established and proven.
"We can’t wait to have Timo on board, but until then we wish him and RB Leipzig all the best for the rest of this season."
Werner becomes Chelsea's second signing ahead of the 2020/21 campaign, with the Blues having already snapped up Hakim Ziyech after agreeing a £33.4m deal in February.
Lampard is also targeting Ben Chilwell but Leicester could demand as much as £80m for the left-back - the same fee Manchester United paid for Harry Maguire last summer.
And Chelsea are simultaneously chasing Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz as the Premier League outfit hunt more attacking reinforcements.
