Barcelona will only be able to make one big signing in the next transfer window, according to European football expert Julien Laurens. Barca's chances of re-signing Neymar from Paris Saint-Germain look unlikely this year, especially because of the financial implications of the coronavirus pandemic. However, Barca are also keen on Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez.

The expert claims Barca's major incomings would end at Martinez and says rivals Real Madrid will face a similar problem in only being able to make one big signing when the next window opens.
"Well I think it's difficult if they cannot pay the €111m release clause, which we know now they cannot even if they offload some of their current players," Laurens told ESPN FC.
"However, I still think they can do Lautaro but that's probably the only thing they will be able to do, that's the only transfer they will be able to do this summer.
"They will only be able to do one big move and that will be Lautaro for example for €60m plus a player or two as a swap for Inter Milan, and I think that will be it.

Barcelona news: Barca want to sign Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez (Image: GETTY)
"If you want to keep all of your squad and add someone like Lautaro, someone like Neymar or in the case of Real Madrid Paul Pogba, or Erling Haaland or Kylian Mbappe, you won't be able to do it because your wage bill is already enormous.
"You already have a lot of players on your books and you can't just go out and spend €200m, €300m that you don't have anyway, even before the pandemic you didn't have that money, so even less now.
"You won't be able to do any crazy stuff, the only thing you will be able to do is because you have thought about it, you have got rid of some players, you make some money available and then you went and did one big move and that's it."
Martinez has scored 16 goals in 31 appearances for Inter this season under Antonio Conte.
