Schalke defender Jean-Clair Todibo told Erling Haaland to "go f**k your grandmother" during a heated exchange in the Bundesliga's first match back amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Haaland was Borussia Dortmund's main threat in the early exchanges and centre-back Todibo was tasked with stopping the 19-year-old.
The on-loan Barcelona defender was marking Haaland at a corner midway through the first half when they began pushing each other to gain the best position.
Just before the referee intervened to warn the pair, Tobido verbally insulted the Norwegian striker.
With no supporters permitted inside the ground the voices of the players and coaches could be picked up by the TV cameras.
And Todibo spoken in his native French to tell Haaland what he wants him to do.

However, it only seemed to inspire Haaland to better his performance as he netted the opening goal soon after.
Meanwhile, Haaland is regularly linked with a move away from Dortmund despite only joining in January.
European giants Real Madrid are considering a summer swoop but the teenager is not focussing on talk he could move to the Bernabeu.
“I focus on this, not on the attention or speculation that is towards me,” he told Sky Germany.
