Arsenal: Pundit discusses Aubameyang’s transfer options
Chelsea have considered their options and will reportedly make a move for Arsenal star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang this summer as Frank Lampard looks to bolster his attacking ranks.
The Blues came out of a two-window transfer ban in January but they resisted the urge to strengthen in what is deemed the more expensive winter period.
Instead, Lampard wanted to use the summer to carefully pick his targets to get the club challenging for the Premier League title once again.
One of the key positions which needs strengthening is up front as Tammy Abraham could be the sole striker left at the end of the season.
Olivier Giroud is expected to leave when his contract expires and Michy Batshuayi is deemed surplus to requirements.
Chelsea drew up a three-player shortlist and Aubameyang is not the favoured name.

According to ESPN, the west Londoners have Lyon forward Moussa Dembele top of their wishlist but his price tag is around £70million.
RB Leipzig ace Timo Werner is also wanted by Lampard but the German's preferred destination is thought to be Liverpool.
Therefore, the Blues are expected to try and sign Aubameyang, whose contract expires next summer.
ESPN add that Arsenal have changed their transfer approach and they would rather cash in on their players rather than let them walk away for free, which happened with Aaron Ramsey when he joined Juventus last year.
