Barcelona told Neymar transfer price with PSG ready to sell in the summer
Barcelona have been told by Paris Saint-Germain how much they will need to pay if they want to sign Neymar in the summer transfer widow.
Barcelona: Pundits discuss if Neymar will stay at PSG
Barcelona have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Neymar in the summer transfer widow as PSG have now lowered their asking price for the Brazilian.
According to ESPN’s Ligue 1 journalist, Julien Laurens, reported via Spanish publication Sport, PSG have lowered their asking price from £182million (€200m) to £136m (€150m).
The Catalan giants failed to get a deal completed last summer for Neymar, as they were unable to reach an agreement with PSG before the transfer window closed.
However, with the Ligue 1 club now lowering their demands there is a better chance a deal can be agreed when the next transfer window opens.
Neymar left Barca in a record-breaking £200m (€222m) move to PSG in 2017, but after spending just three years in France the Brazilian appears keen on securing a move away from Paris.

The 28-year-old hasn’t hidden his desire to leave the club, despite still having two years left on his current contract.
Unfortunately for Neymar and PSG fans, injuries have significantly limited his appearances for the Ligue 1 club.
Since arriving in Paris Neymar has only made 80 appearances for the club in all competitions.

But when he has been on the field the Brazilian has showcased his abilities, as he has scored 69 goals and provided 39 assists while playing for the French club.
However, since his arrival PSG have failed in their aim of winning the Champions League, with Neymar missing crucial games in the competitions over the past few seasons.
His was injured for the second-leg in the 2017/18 season loss to Real Madrid and he also missed both legs in their dramatic loss to Manchester United in the last 16 round last season.
Once again he has had several spells on the sidelines this season, but he did score the opening goal in their 2-0 win over Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League this season to help them win 3-2 on aggregate and progress to the last eight.
Barcelona will not find funding a move for Neymar an easy task.
And reports out of Spain have suggested that the Catalan giants might even consider including Antoine Griezmann in a swap-deal in order to get a summer transfer agreed.
If Barcelona included Griezmann in a possible transfer the wages they would be taking off the books could help significantly in paving the way for Neymar’s arrival.
The 28-year-old Frenchman is one of the highest earners at the club, since he secured his £107m (€120m) move from Atletico Madrid last summer.
However, the striker has received his fair share of criticism for his performances on the pitch this season, after only scoring 14 goals and providing four assists in 37 appearances in all competitions.
