Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has been warned that losing Alisson has given the Reds a disadvantage against Atletico Madrid in midweek. The European champions are looking to defend their trophy but will have to overturn a 1-0 deficit in order to progress to the quarter-finals.

“The Champions League game is where it is at, that is the important one.
“Alisson’s calmness and his ability to play out – he will be missed. That is a certainty.
“He is a fantastic goalkeeper and to turn that tie around you will need all of your players to be on top form.
“If you have got one missing that is a bit of a disadvantage.

“There might be nothing to do for large parts against Atletico but he needs to be ready when called upon.
“That is what makes top goalkeepers. Given the option, you would rather have your strongest goalkeeper.”
As Mills mentioned, Adrian has already filled in for the Liverpool No 1 earlier in the season.
He was more than up to the task too, helping Liverpool win the Super Cup and win all of their first eight Premier League matches before Alisson returned to the fold.
