Chelsea 'in the market' for Alphonso Davies says pundit
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has downplayed his decision to keep Fikayo Tomori out of his first-team line-up in recent weeks, claiming the decision is down to squad depth. Tomori has been impressive this season but hasn’t played in the league since the turn of the year.

The 22-year-old returned to the starting line-up to face Tottenham, Southampton and Arsenal, as Chelsea won the former and latter of those three games.
But once again, Lampard opted to drop him again for the New Year’s Day game with Brighton, and he is yet to return.
Instead, the boss has favoured playing Antonio Ruddier and Andreas Christensen in the middle.
For last Saturday’s game with Tottenham, he selected a back three of Azpilicueta, Christensen and Rudiger.

And Lampard believes the decision to keep Tomori out of the team is simply down to the options available to him.
“I have four centre-backs to choose from so generally every week two of them are unhappy," Lampard said.
"And then people question you when you change it all the time, and question it when you stick with a back two or back three.
"So there is competition in that area. So yes, with Fik he always has to train at the top level, that goes for all of the young players because when you are out of the team, however much it hurts, you need to show a good attitude and train very well.
